Meet your guide and driver at your hotel before heading off for a day of exploration, discovering the best sites of Xi'an!
The trip begins with a visit to the city’s main landmark: The Terracotta Army. Admire clay army museum located at the heart of Emperor Qin’s Mausoleum.
See the trenches where over 8,000 clay statues representing warriors, horses and chariots were found. Sculpted in the 3rd century B.C., the statues represent warriors, horses and chariots and were buried there to accompany Emperor Qin, China’s first emperor, in his final resting place.
Lunch at a local restaurant before heading off for a factory where you can see artisans replicate models of the clay warriors.
Continue your tour with a visit to the Da Ci’en Temple. Also called the Temple of Great Maternal Grace, it is a typical temple of the Tang dynasty period.
Finish your visit exploring the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi’an’s biggest pagoda. Originally built by Emperor Gaozong of the Tang dynasty, this pagoda was rebuilt by Empress Wu Zetian at the beginning of the 8th century becoming the 7-floor tower you can see today. Your guide will tell you all about this historic Chinese empress and the Tang dynasty. You can also climb to the pagoda summit (not-included), before returning to the hotel.
