Join a gold-leaf ceramic piece repair workshop (Kintsugi) in Tokyo !

You'll take part in the art workshop of Kintsugi, a Japanese ancestral art aimed at repairing broken objects by highlighting its cracks with gold to sublimate them in a decorative and spiritual way.

With the guidance of professional craftsmen, you'll learn how to repair a piece of pottery. You'll apply gold in the form of lines and patterns of your choice creating a unique work of art.

You'll take advantage of this workshop to create a memorable souvenir to bring home, so you won't forget your trip to Japan.

  • Depending on the size of the crack or the shine of the object, the repair may not be completed in 90 minutes
  • Finished pieces are mainly for decorative use, you can place foodstuffs in them that are not damp, under risk of deterioration
  • It is possible to bring your own object : 
    - Objects must be ceramic vessels only
    - Chipped or cracked cup handles cannot be repaired
  • Children under 13 are not allowed to participate in the activity
