Discover the island of Paros and its treasures in the company of a certified guide!
After a transfer from the nearest meeting point, you will head for Parikia, capital and main port of the island of Paros. This guided tour kicks off at 9 am with a visit to Saint Constantine church. You will then visit the Panagia Ekatontapiliani ('the church with 100 doors'). With Byzantine architecture and dating from around 400 BC, it is the oldest church in the Cyclades and the third oldest in Greece. It represents one of the country's most significant pilgrimage sites.
Next, take the bus back to the port of Punta, on the west coast, to catch the ferry to the small island of Antiparos. Your guide will lead you through the streets of this picturesque town and introduce you to the 16th century Venetian fort.
Back in Paros, head south to Piso Livadi via Alyki and Drios. You'll then have some free time for lunch and a dip in the sea.
Next, it'll be time for a drive to the village of Lefkes, which stands at the foot of Mount Profitis Ilias in the heart of the island. Built in the shape of an amphitheatre and nestled on the side of the mountain at an altitude of 250 metres, Lefkes was the original capital of the island of Paros. The inhabitants chose this location to better protect themselves from the pirates who were decimating the Cycladic ports at the time.
Finish up your day with a visit of the small town of Naoussa, which oozes Cycladic charm. Stroll through its typical streets before arriving at the harbour full of colourful fishing boats. The ultimate photo spot!
Around 5 pm, you'll be taken back to the departure point.
