Make the most of your stay by exploring the island of Gozo on this guided tour!
You will be picked up from your hotel. After a short twenty-minute ferry crossing, you will reach the port of Mgarr.
You will begin your guided tour with the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta'Pinu, located on the outskirts of the village of Gharb. This basilica also known as the Church of the Miracle or simply "Ta'Pinu", is one of Gozo's most iconic landmarks.
Your next stop is at Dwejra, located on the west coast of the island. This place showcases the beauty and serenity of the island's natural environment. It is also famous for its inland sea, a small bay surrounded by high cliffs and linked by an impressive 65-metre-long natural tunnel that opens out into the sea. Weather permitting, you'll have the opportunity to take a short boat trip through this narrow tunnel (small supplement, payable locally).
You'll finish your excursion with a visit to Victoria, Gozo's charming capital. Victoria is not only the geographical heart of Gozo, it is also the hub of daily activity. Accompanied by your guide, you will board a trackless train for a pleasant ride to the centre of Victoria to discover its medieval fortress known locally as "Iċ-Ċittadella" (the Citadel). The region has been inhabited since the Bronze Age, and this site is thought to have been the acropolis of the Punic-Roman city of Gaulos or Glauconis Civitas. The acropolis was later converted into a castle in medieval times and served as a refuge for the people of Gozo.
You will reach the port of Mġarr via the Qala viewpoint, which offers a beautiful view of Comino and the Blue Lagoon.
