Your guide will pick you up directly from your hotel to take you to north-east Beijing.
Journey to the Hebei region, more than 120km/74miles from Beijing, where you will discover the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall.
After climbing to the top of the Great Wall, you will take a walk with your guide to explore the watchtowers and surveillance posts which are found all along this part of the wall. The Great Wall at Jinshanling was built in the middle of the 16th century, during the reign of the Ming Dynasty. Although part of the wall has been restored, a large section has not been touched so you can note the effects of the passage of time on this monument to Chinese architecture!
You will also have the chance to enjoy a lunch of local specialities.
After your walk along the Great Wall of China, you will return to Beijing with your guide.
