Your guide will pick you up from your hotel, ready to discover two of Beijing's most famous locations: Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
Start your day with a trip to Tiananmen Square. This public square, one of the largest in the world, symbolises the power of the People's Republic of China and is surrounded by monuments illustrating the history of China, from the height of the Middle Kingdom to the present day.
Your next stop is the Forbidden City. Constructed by Emperor Yongle, the Forbidden City was the seat of power for Ming and Qing Emperors from the beginning of the 15th century. Take a stroll through the heart of this imperial complex, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You will then go for lunch in a local restaurant, before heading to the Great Wall of China.
Depending on your choice, you will go to either Badaling or Mutianyu to discover the only man-made structure visible from space.
If you choose to go to Mutianyu, you will have the chance to explore the north-east part of the Great Wall which protected the Ming Dynasty Tombs. Climb the Great Wall in the middle of the forest and after a walk lasting around two hours, you will be rewarded with an exceptional panoramic view from the top of the wall.
If you would prefer to go to Badaling, you will discover the most famous and best preserved section of the Great Wall. During your two hour walk along the top of the wall, you will be treated to incredible views and you will have the opportunity to go inside the watchtowers.
You will return to Beijing at the end of the day.
