Descripción

Discover Lake Balaton and visit the Herend Porcelain Museum, then discover the village of Tihany!

From Budapest, a bus will take you to Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe (approx 140 km). Your first stop will be the village of Tihany, located on a peninsula on the northern shore of the Lake. You will visit the village on foot with your guide, before discovering its Benedictine Abbey, founded in 1055 by King Andrew I.

You will then head to the town of Balatonfüred, near the Tihany peninsula. It is one of Hungary's oldest spa towns.  Here you will enjoy free time for lunch (not included).

After lunch you will drive back to Herend, 35 km (about 30 minutes drive) north. You will visit the largest porcelain factory in the world.  You will have free time for a final coffee overlooking the lake or for shopping.

You will be driven back to Budapest after a day of exploring around Lake Balaton.
