Go on a half-day excursion to discover the temple of Poseidon and the panoramic view from Cape Sounion!
After a transfer from your accommodation in Athens, you will head to Cape Sounion, about an hour and a half from Athens. You will drive along a coastal road that offers a panoramic view of the Saronic Gulf and its turquoise coves while your guide tells you stories from Greek mythology.
You will visit the famous Temple of Poseidon. Built on top of the hills of the archaeological site of Cape Sounion in 444 BCE, it was the first of its kind in Europe. It was used as a landmark by sailors in ancient times. You will experience the breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea from the temple.
You will be driven back to your accommodation after a half day at Cape Sounion.
