Enjoy a day trip through Ancient Greece: from the Corinth Canal to the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus to Lions' Gate of Mycenae and learn more about these major places from your guide!
The bus will pick you up directly from your hotel in Athens, then you will drive to the Peloponnese. You will make a first stop at the Corinthian Canal, before reaching Mycenae which is home to the remains of the ancient city including Lion Gate, the Tomb of Agamemnon and the Palace, which you will have the opportunity to discover with your tour guide.
After a lunch break(optional meal) at a traditional Greek restaurant, you will travel to Nafplio, which was one of the first capitals of Greece in the 1830s. You will enjoy some free time to stroll through the narrow streets of the old town.
The excursion will then continue to Epidaurus where you will visit the ancient theatre, a UNESCO World Heritage monument. The theatre is most famous for being built so that every sound on stage can be heard by every one of the 12,000 spectators.
You will be driven back to your accommodation after a day of criss-crossing the Peloponnese peninsula.
